Dusty is a highly experienced director and programmer who has been at the forefront of the trend for 'narrative cabaret' and whose past credits include The Black Cat Cabaret at the London Wonderground and the Café de Paris (Winner 2013 London Cabaret Award for 'Best Production'), Prospero's Tavern at the London Wonderground, The Winter of Discontent at the Arcola Tent, five of the notorious Battersea Barge 'adult pantomimes': Sleeping Beauty, Lucky the Cow, Aladdin, Peter Pandemonium and Cinderella and the Glass Ceiling, a plethora of variety nights and cabarets including the legendary Bongo Club Cabaret at the Edinburgh Fringe, and numerous plays and devised pieces including The Importance of Being Earnest. He was Associate Director on Dixey: Where Gentlemen Are Always Immaculately Undressed and directed The Night Before Winterval at the Roundhouse Studio. He is especially proud of two productions, which shaped his directing approach to 'narrative cabaret': The Red Piano and the Smoking Cat, (a circus-cabaret based on Brecht's Fear and Misery in the Third Reich) and No Man's Land, a devised narrative cabaret based on Euripides' Trojan Women at the Central School of Speech and Drama,
